My cats aren’t much of a problem with the jigsaws and Legos. I just need to make sure all the chairs are pushed into the table where I’m working (okay, not ashamed to say ‘playing’) with them. Except for Cami (an outdoor cat I’ve recently brought indoors), who I may need to hiss and grumble at for a while till she hopefully gets the “not on tables” message.
My dog, on the other hand, has been known to chew jigsaw pieces to ruin, without even getting on the table. When I’m puzzling with guests, I need to be super-vigilant for the sound of pieces hitting the floor. Which for some inexplicable reason is harder than it used to be. grumble grumble.
I’m so sorry. It’s sad but true that our chances of a good retirement are so dependent on the quality of our health insurance. :(
