    I would consider it neither. It is just stretched a bit to invite Ben and his adopted kids into the fold. Bernice still has a good relationship with her family——she just doesn’t live there since the kids now occupy her old room. And yes, I believe it was a plot device to get Bernice back into Luann’s life by having her move in. With her home or at the dorm these two didn’t always interact that much. I’m not sure Bernice adds all that much to Luann’s story at the moment.

    But he FEELS like he is and at least he wants to be helpful. He’s probably pretty good with caring for the basic needs of his younger brothers and sisters.

    They are siblings and half siblings. They have different fathers in the mix. Not sure but some may also be step-siblings. His family is very complicated.

    Me, too! I’m so not a fan of Tiffany. I can’t believe how so many people think she’s totally turned her life around and is so special simply because she gained weight and went through those bad days with Ann. Tiffany is nicer to her newer circle of friends but she’s just as nasty to Luann and Bernice as she has ever been. So, in that aspect, she hasn’t changed a bit.
