    They weren’t Boy Scouts—-just two guys who were idiots out walking through the woods lighting matches and throwing them around. Eye witnesses saw them doing this. At least one of them was the son of a high ranking law enforcement officer. I’d love to see them tried in Civil court except since they were minors and have no assets the award would amount to nothing. What they both needed was a good thrashing! The good people of Sevier Co. never even got an apology from them. But what goes around comes around. Someday somehow those guys will have to pay for all the damage and heartache they caused.

    We were smack in the middle of the Gatlinburg fire. We barely got out of it alive. It was a senseless tragedy and those boys should have both been found guilty of murder and destruction of property and anything else the prosecutors can find. But because of their political connections they both got off Scot free. A real shame.

    Just because she isn’t deeply engaged in those things doesn’t mean she still doesn’t enjoy them or is no longer good at them. I recently started painting again after a long absence. I once wrote award winning poetry and published a lot of it. I also wrote articles and short stories. I haven’t done that in 20 years but I might again someday. She can do a lot of things. Right now she’s focused on writing. But that doesn’t mean she can no longer do art.
