   127.(then x.×.x because GC thinks it’s a URL) are the internal addresses inside your PC. It was once thought it would be handy to 4095 address on your own PC, but it’s not used that much. E.g., to ping your own PC from your PC, no matter which PC you’re at:

   ping 127.0.0.1 or ping 127.8.244.99 etc, as they all refer to your local host (PC)
