   April sure grows fast in this strip. In the 6th panel, the top of her head is level with Mike’s waist. In the final panel, her entire head is above his waist.

   Striking the puppy is not necessary. Just wave a rag in front of him; he’ll grab it and you can play tug-of-war.

   My dad smoked as a young man in the Navy in WWII, but he quit when it was discovered how bad smoking was for you. Nobody else in my family smoked except a cousin, who quit after having a heart attack. The doctor told him, “You have two choices: stop smoking or die.” He stopped.
