Came here for Breaking Cat News, but have found some other great comics—sweet ones like Snow Sez, Cul de Sac, Cat's Cafe and Ten Cats and ones a "little off center" like Last Kiss, Lio and Spirit of the Staircase. Was COVID-laid off in March 2020 and now "enjoying" retirement.

Here in the D/FW Metroplex (Texas), it’s 48F and misting. Temp will drop as day goes on to below freezing by 4 pm; tomorrow’s low will be 12! Hoping that the rain we get later today between 11–2 dries up before it can freeze. We had black ice just 4–5 days ago and folks were asked to stay off the roads.

Snow knows his friend very well … and Winky’s having a great time.

Needs must; they are travelers and I’m sure their few items do many tasks not intended by the manufacturer!

Yeah, I had to go for blood draws once a week and would talk to my doctor that evening, or the next morning (whenever the results were logged) to learn if I should increase, or decrease the amount of Coumadin I was taking. Also, had to watch out for certain foods that would affect blood levels of Coumadin. That was a very loonnnggg year plus.

If the charley horse lasts very long, get it checked out. Back in 2004, I woke up on a Sunday morning with such a cramp in my right calf. I finally went to the doctor on Wednesday as it was still painful and walking was difficult. My doctor knew I was on Tamoxifen (a side effect of that is blood clots) and sent me for a sonogram despite my calf not being swollen, nor feeling red/hot. I was in the hospital for 8.5 days to get the blood clot dissolved and was on Coumadin for over a year afterwards.
