A friend had one with a 304 (five-liter to those of you who don’t remember cubic inches) and floor-shift three-speed manual. Quite a sleeper. I had a ’51 Studebaker Commander Starlight at the time with a 232 V8, three-on-the-tree with overdrive, and a hill-holder. Heater was under the front seat and starter burron was on the floor where you pushed the clutch and the clutch pushed the starter.
