Jeff Dunham’s puppet Walter had this approach – “Welcome to Walmart. Get your s**t and get out.”
At the Walmart near me, good luck getting anyone to even acknowledge your presence, and a lot of them have ear buds on indicating they really don’t want to be bothered by those pesky customers who might need help locating an item (not that most of them know where anything is anyway).
I have not adjusted my car preferences upward even as my salary has increased over the years. My current car is a 2020 Jeep Cherokee that I paid about $24k cash for.
Granted, I kind of regret it now and wouldn’t recommend a Jeep to anyone. But if I do get a new car, it will likely be a Honda or something similarly reliable. I refuse to spend $50k and up on a car as a matter of principle. I abhor status symbols.
This really irks the xxxx out of me. It’s a huge problem here in Florida, properties being grabbed up by investors, especially large corporations, and holding them as rentals. This greatly reduces the available inventory for sale, making it harder for people to OWN a home.
I’m all for capitalism, but communities are better off with owner-occupied homes.
You don’t understand what proof is apparently.
