Great, since you know what the point is, can you tell me?

Oh boy, this will be the next “War on Christmas”!

In this case, it is our immigration laws that are wrong. Laws that are as dumb as the ones we have regulating immigration, which are entirely based on xenophobia (irrational fear of “outsiders”) deserve to be and are doomed to be violated all the time, until they are removed or we just forget that they exist.

Also… Trump and his campaign PLANNED a “Million Maga March” on January 6. Before going to the Capitol, they listened to Trump and his surrogates speaking to them, very clearly telling them that they could and should force Congress to somehow give the election to Trump (remember, he thought Mike Pence alone could do that). Accordingly, they went to the Capitol, shouted “Hang Mike Pence!”. Protesters interviewed by reporters on the scene described the action as a “revolution” that was supposed to take back the Presidency for their guy. Then, once beating their way inside with Trump flags, they moved into the House (or was it Senate?) chamber and found the documents that lawmakers didn’t have time to bring with them. One insurrectionist saw that Ted Cruz was planning to object to Arizona, and said “He was planning to sell us out all along!” before remembering that Arizona was won by Biden. Which, to my mind, demonstrates the sheer paranoia inhabiting the mind of the Trumpist.

The Insurrection wasn’t a secretive operation: it was a highly planned and centralized event with a clear objective. We KNOW why it happened. So please don’t waste our time lying about it.

Yes, because economy’s famously crash when you help people. The only way to make line go up is by treating people horribly, as we all know! /s

Ah yes, the “illegal immigrants” agenda: be treated as any other human being who is living in America. Imagine wanting to be accepted by society like anyone else… /s.

They weren’t, though. The FBI said, quite clearly, that they were Trump supporters. Their goal was to force Congress to make Trump president, which they failed at because they’re dumb.

BLM and Antifa have no interest in Trump being president. Granted, Biden is somewhat underwhelming too, but still.

Difference between a slightly quicker collapse of a doomed government and an all-out nuclear war.

I would respond, but I think this will just end in us saying that everything the other posted is a lie.

Special progressive policies DO help poorer Americans. They are the ones who will benefit from free childcare, better roads, and less climate change. Richer Americans, under the plan, will have their taxes raised. That’ just what the plan is.

Forget it, I just read the part where you said that Socialism is strong central government control and no state’s rights. You must be joking. I apologize for wasting your time. I think we both know that Socialism is an economic system where the means of production are controlled by the workers who use them.

Oh, and also, illegal immigrants crossing the border is the direct consequence of their own choices. A non-open border, like what Biden has, is when they are quickly caught and detained or expelled.

But, since both of us are intelligent people, we both know that an open border is acceptable. In fact, we had no laws regulating immigration until 1875, and the Southern border wasn’t really closed until the 1960s. So it’s meaningless in terms of actual public good, but it’s great for laughing at the dumb Conservatives who still fall for centuries-old xenophobia.

Biden is not remotely Socialist. He does not have open borders any more than Trump does. Trillions in spending is also nothing new, especially not over 10 years. Pork describes spending that congressmen secure for their constituencies at the cost to the country, not things that will help all Americans. I could go on:

Welfare dependency is, by and large, not a thing. Inflation is estimated to be at 3.7% in 2021, above the 2% target, but not that bad, especially considering all the supply chain issues that have nothing to do with Biden and which, in fact, Biden is working to ameliorate.

“Liberals may have the IPhones, but we have the time”, eh?

Oh, just wanted to add that child care IS infrastructure. It is an institution that underlies and supports a more successful society, just like the presence of roads and bridges. When more people can afford childcare, this means that they now have the opportunity to find work. Many people are not returning to work because of the necessity to look after family members.
