   I am a retired LEO with a CCP. I live in NJ. I have not been able to find or buy a round of ammunition for my carry weapons in the past 18 months and my gun range only sells enough to allow us to qualify on the range, no take home ammo. So basically my weapons have become paperweights.

   one word on prepping WATER…no matter how much dehydrated long storage food you have, if you have no alternate source of water you will not survive.

   heck with the sun, one low yield nuke set off 100 miles or less over any US power grid will do the same thing and is far more likely to occur geopolitics being what they are.

   I am more concerned about Apophis and I do not think it will be a near miss, simply [?] ripping away our GPS and comms satellites out of orbit. Either an atmosphere stripper or a direct hit by 2026 give or take.

   Dad was a Teamster shop steward for years in the 50s & 60s…sent me to college to be an officer and gentleman and avoid the union life; instead I became a LEO who spent years investigating it.

   The Teamsters, “not strike,” I’ve been around them, and longshoremen since childhood 7 decades ago…and have lived through strikes that lasted 6 months or more…when they go out it will be with spokesmen saying publicly, ‘localized job action’, which will develop into a nationwide shut down… it is coming…not saying I know when or how it will start…but, it IS coming.

    For myself, having looked at the empty shelves in grocery and department stores, having heard the rumblings of a nationwide trucker strike, having watched stacks of containers unload in the ports and not be moved for lack of fuel for the trucks that are available, I am glad I am a prepper.
