As a European this makes feel a little smug. Was it not for US friends I would not even know what deductibles are. Thinks like going bankrupt over health costs or staying in a crappy job to hold on to an insurance is not situations we live.

Science, laws of physics and so on. Like for example science that clearly indicated Covid19 is not nothing, but Trump did not wanna look bad so he downplayed it.

Yeah – I hear there is good people on both side in the US.Sure, there are extremists everywhere only a very important difference is that only in the US was a racist clown and wanna be dictator elected to lead and even after seeing and hearing all the evil and the lies 1/3 of your nation still wants him back. Also, much of that anti-antisemitism is due to Israel calling those critical of them anti-semiotic – apparently Israel like to deflect rather than owning up to committing war crimes, violations of human rights and keeping a people in camps using them for cheap labor.

Watching from Europe I can clearly say that not only can you, but you need to do better. Not sure how to change things, but it is like you need to stop media uncritically broadcasting the lies of the Trumpist cult. Either that or you need to stop the liars from telling their hateful lies, so that the media has no lies to broadcast. With no lies I would think that most of the people seduced by them will see sanity.

I am not bashing, merely pointing out there is potential for improvement.Maybe you can enlighten us with some stats on bike commuting in the USA?Also it is not like our weather is especially bike friendly. Yes, there are places in the US where it is too hot or to cold for biking some of the time or maybe even close to all of the time. However we see plenty of rainy days and especially in the winter season conditions can be harsh.Still much of the time bad weather can be overcome, like for example the rule is here that when there is snow the bike lanes are cleared first and they are also the first to get salt treatment to try and limit build up of ice.Of course it is not just a question of people buying bikes or something similar, we have been considering how to make biking better for decades. - Most relevant streets have dedicated bike lanes and traffic lights.- You can bring you bike on commuter trains.- Kids are taught in school how to ride safely in traffic.- There is no stigma to riding bikes. Everyone does it, since it is often just easier and faster than driving.- Cities are made so biking works well.- Drivers are used to bikes, most drivers are also cyclists themself.

Well – how many in the US use their bikes everyday for commuting. Despite the difference in population size I think it is highly likely, that many more commuter miles are done in Denmark.

From what I hear on cycling in the US cyclist better all have nine lives.Cycling extremists aside. It would be good for everybody if cycling in the US was safer as it would mean more people cycling. When ever one person uses a bicycle for commuting it means one less car on the road, which in turn means more room for the other cars, less pollution because of the one less car, less pollution because traffic in general, less need for parking space and the exercise for the cyclist is good for both physical and mental health. Here in Copenhagen 62% of people commute by bike, some 3/4 million miles is cycled by people everyday and studies show it benefits in lots of ways. Because of the factors I suggested above it is really a win for everyone with the exception of the auto industry.

LEGO is the best. A foot v. LEGO incident now and again is a small drawback and one I am happy to risk to have LEGO.

Seeing many didn’t get the reference makes me feel old. Worse though had it been a reference to Kathy Perry and people did not pick that up.

Deductible is not a term we know in Europe, same thing goes for co-payments and bankruptcy due to health care costs. But our taxes are a little higher, so there is that.
