That is not true at all.

And once again, in a long line of investigations, they found nothing.

    No, we were not.

The people on Martha’s Vineyard treated the migrants humanely, and followed the Law. Just think if DeSantis or Abbott had rounded up illegal immigrants and not played their political ploy, but had treated the immigrants humanely and then followed the Law and turned them over to Federal authorities, they could have actually helped in solving the issue. And they could have claimed their humane and law-abiding act in their re-election campaigns, being heroes to both sides of the issue. They could have won over fence-sitters and even some Democrats. Instead, they are called ‘human-traffickers’ and worse. They were MASSIVE DUMB.

Those were side reasons. The real reason was that in 1989 The Soviet Union fell taking about 25% of the world economy with it in the form of aid for their allies, much as we did. We didn’t need armaments as we had been supplying. Because of that the defense industry for lack of demand started laying off workers. That led to a coming recession. Bush1 knew a recession could cost him re-election. They made a deal with Hussein, go into Kuwait, grab what you want, and then we’ll come in and chase you out. Hussein didn’t care about his own soldiers and went with it for the riches. Remember his shock when we captured, jailed, tried and executed him. He thought he had a deal. Hussein was all that was said about him, but he was betrayed by those who were just as devious. Us.

We were not trying to annex Iraq or conquer it’s people.

Military Advisers are “actual soldiers”, and perform as ground troops when they are under fire.

Agreed. Those I served with went to help people just as the French helped us win our independence. The U.S. did not got to Vietnam to conquer or colonize or land grab. That’s what the Russians tried in Afghanistan and now Ukraine. But our mission in Vietnam was skewered by South Vietnam’s politics and our own U.S. politicians. It is also true that the people of Vietnam, just like people in every country, cared about raising their families, making a living and being safe. I too will not vote for a Republican. I hope you’re right about most of our brothers.

Eisenhower sent in the first U.S. soldiers.

I remember during Reagan’s recession, which was the worst crash since the 1929 depression and now outdone by Bush2 in 2008, people on Social Security in the news for needing to eat cat food. It was a lot cheaper than tuna.
