Don’t know. I’ve disabled the spin interlock a few times to check the water level as a source for leaks. Never seen the water slosh anywhere near the inside top lip of the drum plus there is a pretty good cuff to keep things from being dropped over the edge. Your idea seem more probable than quantum tunneling of macroscopic objects, but just how that occurred remains a mystery :-)
I had a washer choke and die eating a sock. Found the sock warped around the pump impeller during repair. How it got thru the tiny holes I have no clue.
Unusual! Use to have a skunk come by to raid a rotting tree stump for grubs about 15’ from my shed every evening. Needed to get something from the shed when it was there and thought it might ignore me. Got to about 20’ feet away when it took aim. Decided later was a better time.
I used to be able to speak German when I was a kid. There are a lot of similar words. Took me forever to stop pronouncing aluminium (Deutsche rechtschreibung) and switch to aluminum.
