   I may have mentioned this before (admittedly my memory hasn’t been as good in the last few years but some things seem to be on quick retrieval) but a long time ago my grandfather told me about the origins of bagpipes. It seems that the Irish invented the bagpipes and then gave them to the Scots as a joke. And the Scots never got it. That being said, the cartoon is more closely aligned with the truth: “The exact origins of the bagpipes are difficult to trace, but they likely originated in the Middle East and evolved in Europe. Some theories suggest that the bagpipes originated in Egypt, while others suggest they were first heard in Rome.” And: “Ancient Egypt does appear to have prior claim to the instrument however; from as early as 400 BC the ‘pipers of Thebes’ are reported to have been blowing pipes made from dog skin with chanters of bone.” Sorry for the info dump – I had some time on my hands this evening.

   I see that once again your reading comprehension failed your. Look up public order crimes and notice that people get charged with these things every day. Some examples, to start you off: “Some of the most common examples of crimes against public order include: Drug crimes; Prostitution; Disorderly conduct; Public drunkenness;” In this case, the business fraud law was to stop people from doing things which would eventually have victims, even though any particular transaction may not seem to have a victim. And, btw, if trump had defaulted on his loan, his inflated value property would not have covered the loan default amount. So there would have been a victim in this case. So I see your analysis ability is not your strong suit either.

    The law requires specific things for a person to be charged with and does not require additional things. If you read the law, you will notice it does not require a loss of money or a specified victim. This is an example of a public safety law: “A crime against public order, also known as a public safety crime, is a violation which interferes with the normal operations of society. These crimes go against areas of values, norms, or customs, which are shared by the public as a whole. Public order crimes do not require identifiable victims. An individual may be charged with a public order crime if their actions or conduct are considered to be harmful to society.” Thus, your argument is, once again, specious.
