   Our dogs would occasionally be given a small amount of cheese as a treat, or wrapped around a pill. One day we came back into the living room to find a Babybel cheese was missing from my wife’s meal tray – but the plastic outer wrapper was on the floor. Called the emergency vet; although the red wax liner was edible, they were concerned about it clogging up the digestive mechanism, so we bundled him into the car and took him in. After a dose of “stomach reverser” didn’t work, they had to repeat it for the wax to reappear.

   clunk That brings back a memory for me:

   In 1974 I was taking a typing class in high school. All the typewriters were manual (no clutch though). The ones with a pica typeface were 10 characters per inch, those with the elite typeface were 12 characters per inch.
