High 80s and low 90s for the better part of this week are forecast here in central MN. Add to that an air quality warning due to the Canadian wildfire smoke and an air conditioner that is old and giving it’s last full measure (and needs to be replaced). On the plus side the above-ground pool is at a nice 85F and is in the shade. Then again, there’s that air quality warning.
Ran a lot when I was younger, although I didn’t start until I was 17 (USMC boot camp will do that to ya’). I’d run the equivalent of a 5K at least twice a week. Stopped running after surgery to remove a kidney – just couldn’t get back into it. Still walk, ride a stationary bike, and go to the gym on a regular basis.
Trade schools are fine if that’s what someone wants to do, but don’t disparage a university education. The technologies that you use to post to this web site were the result of university education. There are lots of fields that require that kind of education.
I was watching “Morning Joe” this AM and they had one of the people who helped determine the rule changes on as a guest. One of the questions posed to him was about how much “wiggle room” the umpires had with respect to the pitch clock. He said that the umpires are good “game managers” and would likely allow a bit of leeway with respect to the pitch clock if the situation warrants. I suspect that as the season moves along and everyone becomes accustomed to the changes that it won’t be too big a deal.
Oooooh! That’s a sore spot for me! When I was younger we moved from town to a farm. My mother decided that my baseball card and comic book collections were unnecessary.
