Some usage, like got and gotten, bit and bitten, are used differently in UK and Canada. Chalk it up to dialect. But I vote for bitten. I got bit, I get bitten, I was bit, I have been bitten. But I’m not sure I’m right either. . . I’m not even sure who to ask any more, with all the grammar mistakes, even on NPR and BBC and in newspapers. Nobody says “so and so and I did whatever” any more. It’s all “me and my friend did whatever” or equivalent. And “going forward” or “moving forward” needlessly added over and over by newscasters and politicians. And don’t get me started on all the profanity in pop music, just sounds dumb. Like, me and my friends will try to relax about it, going forward.
Hmm, maybe you ARE Hudson posing as someone named Macushlalondra! Gotcha, bad dog.
