My favorite comics of all time was Walt Kelly's "Pogo." "Bliss" is right up there with it.

@BJP The New York Yankees professional Major League Baseball team are this past season’s American League champions, which I guess makes them ‘in.’ Their home uniform is a unique white with black pinstripes.

Yankees pinstripes, no doubt. [For you outside U.S., that’s a baseball ref.]

“Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater /Had a wife but couldn’t keep her / Put her in a pumpkin shell…” So that’s what happened to yesterday’s free loving cat.

I had to look this one up. It’s the 3rd line of Mother Goose nursery rhyme, “Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater.” Internet article gives racy origins to this one -e.g. pumpkin shell = chastity belt; or murdered unfaithful wife’s corpse hidden in pumpkin shell. Back in high school, a classmate did a report of the backstory of seemingly harmless nursery rhymes - she didn’t include this one in her oral report.
