Easy because you don’t need to remember what you said and who you said it to.

Andy is so thoughtful. He doesn’t want all those winnings to burn a hole in Walter’s pocket.

I saw the absolute best finish to a marathon one year, when I was a volunteer. I was a road crossing monitor/guard at the 6-mile point, so I was dismissed from my post shortly after the last person went by. I went to the finish area to help out there. The awards ceremony came and went, and people were hanging out at the food and beverage tent. About twenty minutes before the race time limit was called, it was announced that the last racer was approaching. The overall winners, as well as the celebrity runners and many others ran out to meet him and accompanied him to the finish line. They, and the crowd which formed along the final few hundred feet cheered him on as if he was in first place. He was the oldest runner, the only one in his age class, and still doing his best to keep a runner’s form. After he had time to recover, he was escorted to the stage and celebrated as the true champion of the race.

No, no, no. That’s how Canadian ice fishermen catch bears. They use a can of peas for bait. They drill a hole in the ice and put peas around it. Then, when the bear comes up to take a pea, they kick him in the ice hole.

Thanks, Guys On Ice. To waste more time,,,

Bought eggs this afternoon. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. The price was down about $1.50 from last week. (Humpty Dumpty is the brand name of the eggs at our neighborhood Red Owl store.)

One time looking through family albums we noticed that the middle daughter of the youngest generation was that person. The similarity was there for five successive generations along the maternal line, back to her great-great-grandmother. The photos we compared had been taken when the girls were about four or five.
