I’m way late to comment, I know. I have an old dial phone that sat on my headboard, so I could answer the phone when it rang at night. I never used it to dial out, though it still could, until about 3 years ago. It was known as “The Murder Weapon”, because it was one of the original black metal phones. I didn’t have to worry about the cats moving it, but did need to make sure I wasn’t directly under it when answering, since it would have caused serious damage had it fallen off the headboard!!!

Last line could be:“Let it Be, Grab a Tree”

I understand the battery acid example. I’m so allergic to coffee that the wet grounds will cause blisters on my fingers if there’s contact when I’m cleaning up. My father was Navy, so a morning pot is mandatory. I just have to be verrrry careful.

And there is quite a difference between a “wag” and a “twitch”. That is the first thing Kenny should have learned.

Repeat after me: “You don’t need to lose an ounce. You are gorgeous. But if YOU choose to lose some weight, I’ll support you in your diet, even though it would mean less of you for me to love.”If that fails, look down and say, “Why do I try to answer questions where I have no chance of being right,” then slowly look up, smiling, and say, “Darling, I really love you, as I always have, and as I always will.”If you are still being punished for being “wrong”, hang it up. You are in a mine field with no map and no escape path . . . .

I second that. Beating, no. A swat for emphasis taught me manners and did no permanent harm. (I know this is an unpopular point of view. I am speaking only from my experience.)

It is hopeful because: since puppy dog is staying with her, when she crosses the Rainbow Bridge, sweet puppy will be waiting there to greet her, so they can be together evermore.

Yep, my dog Angel, who has killed 8 sprinkler heads, to date.
