i used to do these projects where we screened for people to be in focus groups… we would call and explain and then ask them some qualifying questions and then if they qualified they could be in one of the focus groups …they usually got money.. but some got fantastic toys lol that probably were the things they were opinionating in the focus group. ..like skis or ski boots or (my favorite) palm pilots lolol i could almost hear those geeks salivating through the phone as they answered the questions …they so so soooo wanted a palm pilot! and back in 1997 a palm pilot was huge!
It was Boston. It was the year 2000. And PBS was and still is the go to station for educational programming… anyone with kids is going to use it. PLUS, at least back then, PBS was one of those stations that was always free.. it was, after all, public broadcasting.. paid for by our tax dollars. you know… Sesame Street.. Reading Railroad.. Nova.. Classical Music. History lolol it was great.
