I still read books on a regular basis, But I also utilize and because the reader can find thousands of books that long been out of print and very hard to find. I have spent may good hours reading countless works from The Golden Age of SF and plenty of History and Philosophy works as well.
I wish it were possible to post pictures. A local Mom and Pop auto repair shop in our town every fall changes their marquee sign to read, “Pumpkin Spice Oil Changes Are Back!” Good humor and I am sure someone falls for it.
The strip is referring the way some, not all, people live their lives today. Scared to leave their homes due to crime, fear of illness, and social reasons. I cannot and will not do this. Also, there is the commentary on the insane hours Amazon drivers work. Case in point. This past Sunday night an Amazon driver delivered a package at around 2130 and needed help backing back down our driveway because he was getting flagged for taking too long at our house. No I don’t have a time machine, but I do wish there was more personal interaction among people. It would make for a nicer society as a whole.
Good for them! That is a school project I would gladly support! I will have to mention it to the Building Trades and Metal fabrication teachers at the high school where my daughter teaches, and my wife is the bookkeeper. Both are friends of the family.
