In Germany, forms ask for “birth name”. I asked on behalf of my then wife what she should put there, and it was the name she had before she last changed it (upon marriage). That’s not the name she was born under, but that’s what officials wanted there
That is even mathematically tricky to start with. As transgender women are such a small part of the population, one would have to look at 1000, maybe even 2000 school shooters to get a meaningful estimate of how many of them are transgender women, and fortunately, not even the US has that many examples to offer
I can’t give a concrete example offhand, but I usually find if someone brings up “freedom of speech” these days, there’s some disingenuous agenda behind it. It could have something to do with no major force actually attacking free speech these days.
What is discussed these days is how much hate speech should be allowed. Now hate speech is a form of violence and often an instrument to suppress the free expression of marginalized people, so in my eyes, limiting hate speech is fighting for freedom of speech (for all, as opposed to only for people in power).
So as a roundabout example for what I mean, one could look at Elon Musk and how he has made the Service Formerly Known As Twitter into the hellhole it is now, under the banner of free speech. Not the best example, because the main driving force there is of course (his misguided attempt) to make it profitable.
I had a friend called Heli, she said she was waiting for Mr Kopter to marry
