A just-turned -four year old April may not remember falling into the river, probably won’t associate Farley’s death with the event even if she DOES remember, and is even less likely to feel guilty about the unintended consequences.
Any clinician who works in a medical setting has been TAUGHT CPR. That doesn’t necessarily mean they can actually perform it effectively, especially on a non-human species. Nor does it mean that CPR SHOULD be administered in all situations.
I wouldn’t in this case. Let old dogs die in peace, even if you’ll miss them terribly.
