My electric company did an energy audit of my house and installed two Google Home smart smoke detectors, with no instruction on how they operate; they set them up themselves. The batteries on both died less than a year later. When I opened them up, turns out they use six lithium batteries each. I went to buy replacement batteries and it would have cost me $34 or more. I replaced those detectors with a couple of the Kidde 10 year models, plus a CO detector for less than the cost of the batteries.
Those are both April’s hands; her right is on the window and her left forefinger is in her mouth. Elly needs both her hands to hold April up to see in the window.
