a lot of popular juvenile characters are just so ignorant of what everyone else might think, and they only think about themselves, it’s funny. Like Nate, Greg Heffley, and Kevin Arnold, just to name a few.

this comment is from a time when cassettes were still kind of a niche community, and now everyone and their mother uses them to be “quirky” and “unique.” most people that use them just see them as a novelty, and they’re just going with the comeback of tapes and vinyl.
