Same. I’ve watched that video several times and sometimes I get the sheet folded correctly. My big takeaway from that segment was she was demonstrating it to a guest. The guest made a mess of the sheet and Martha cracked, “perhaps you should just put it right back on the bed.”
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones, Georgia, both the bipeds and quadrupeds! And thanks to the Orbsters who are here every day to laugh, bring cheer, and comfort to everyone in need. You are a blessing, and a most extraordinary group.
@uncle snipe What a coincidence. My Gracie’s (rip) full name was Gracie Havana O’Malley. At the Humane Society they gave her the name Havana, which I wasn’t crazy about but kept it as her middle name. Grace (ie) came from a photo of cats printed in the paper that day, and I wanted an Irish sounding last name. I was not aware of the pirate, but love the coincidence.
In going through my mom’s recipes after she died in 2008, I found one for fruit cake that she apparently made in 1947 or ‘48. I’m assuming it was not to my parents’ liking because I came along a few years later and fruit cake never darkened our door stop.
