The bush also makes a perfect spot for recording videos and not ever being noticed.

Wow that’s right straight to it.

    What I commented on yesterday

It’s a mental screen that she can see in her own mind.

I said yesterday about if we will someday far into the future be able to access the internet from our own brains and listen to music in our heads without needing earbuds.

Although some of us can already do that.

probably the first thing will be being able to use a computer and control the pointer with our minds and not need a keyboard or mouse.

Then there will someday be games that you can just think of what you want your character to do and they’ll do it.

or maybe games that you play in your own mind, which could be dangerous and cause a Jumanji type experience.

if you die in the virtual brain game world, your brain might also die and you become a vegetable.

Although I don’t think Marigold is doing anything that extreme, though I’m sure with her magic she could teleport herself and Phoebe into a video game and that would make a really fun strip.

there are already concept wrist phones that project the virtual screen onto your palm and you touch the buttons like you would on any other phone.

But Marigold is doing this inside her brain.

I am certain that unicorns in Phoebe’s world could always text each other before phones or Internet were ever invented.

but nowadays they rely on the reception grid that normal people use.

It is easier and uses little to no magic to do it.

Let’s remember her horn can download apps and control almost everything of modern technology.

She even can cause a whole power blackout like in Watchdogs.

So Marigold can use internet in her brain and possibly she can listen to music and play games and all that without anyone noticing.

What if Dana here is critically onto something and in the future there will be brain chips or implants someday that allow us to access the internet in our minds or listen to music in our heads or such.

I for one am never getting a brain chip or any kind of implants because I don’t want to become paranoid that people are spying on me and controlling my actions.

In Marigold’s case I wonder what kind of operating system do unicorns use and how much storage space do they have and does it all get stored in the horn?.

I think the horn is only a peripheral device and that the apps and everything else is stored in the brain.

the one thing I would like to see is a strip where somehow we get to see Marigold’s brain.

Like it somehow ended up outside of her head and Phoebe had to touch it and put it back or something like that.

Not too scary or anything just cartoonish.

Or Marigold could maybe still control her body and levitate her brain and play with it and such.

Still might be too creepy or unrealistic for Dana’s taste.

Nearly all bananas I see come from Ecuador.

But wow!. tonight seems to be all about India.

I was just thinking about India and looking at pictures of this Indian restaurant while eating some packaged chickpea and rice masala oven meals.

so I wonder what unicorns do in India in Phoebe’s world?.

I wonder if unicorns would like spicy foods or can they just not forego the sweet taste for just one minute.

Perhaps unicorns from Phoebe’s world in India make foods that are both sweet and spicy at the same time.

I wonder if they wear the fancy and colorful silken clothes that people in India wear and such.

Dana should make a series of strips that show unicorns from around the world and all their unique customs and traditions.

Something like where Marigold and Phoebe travel around the world in like 80 days and it be for some kind of school project or something, because Phoebe has been known to just base everything on unicorns at school.

where they ask her to do a report on the different regions of the world and she doesn’t want to just read about it, so Marigold takes her around the world to see what all the unicorns are doing.

You could have everything from unicorns in Africa who pierce huge holes in their ears and wear lots of necklaces and noserings and such.

And unicorns in Japan who wear special unicorn kimonos and powder their faces and such.

    And everywhere in between.

And Phoebe would then have a lot to say about the world, although mostly only about the unicorns of the world.

I’m so happy that unicorns are no longer a gender stereotype.

I love unicorns like crazy and I’m a 34 year old guy.

Boys liking unicorns just wouldn’t go over well with most parents around where I live.

Lots of people around me are rigid and tend to be old fashioned far right rural families who don’t accept anything different or new.

These kinds of people would fear and wrongly believe that a boy or man liking a unicorn might mean he is queer or he should be seen more like a child rather than a man.

Unicorns do not mean any of those things and people need to not assume something so foolishly extreme.

A unicorn is depicted as a horse with a horn.

Just having that horn alone makes it something for girls only.

Boys here are allowed to have plain hornless horses at the most because then they can pretend to be cowboys and such.

a unicorn is just a unicorn and it doesn’t mean someone is less of a man and it’s not to be taken as a symbol of anything.

if I were not allowed to have unicorns in my life, I would have never made it.

my first unicorn toy was a purple plush unicorn at Toys R Us long ago and what I liked most about it was that the hairs were fiber optic and lit up.

That was the first time I ever saw fiber optic material.

and then there was another unicorn toy I had.

I have one thing to say to those guarded and foolishly insecure parents who try to say what toys are appropriate or not.

If a boy wants to play with dolls and such, consider that he is learning about what it’s like to be a father and take care of women and children.

The same as I heard if a girl wants to play with trucks, bulldozer and train sets, there are a large number of women who get into mechanical engineering and become construction contractors or train conductors.

so really no toy is going to make your child turn out one way or another, that’s a whole entirely different issue.

I was just thinking today strangely about the unicorn’s healing light from their horn.

But I wonder if hers is the kind of magic healing light that could cure cancer or other illnesses or injuries.

Marigold could stand in a hospital wing full of sick or injured people and they could just stand up and walk away.

I really wonder if Phoebe’s world even has stuff like cancer or other diseases?.

Sort of sad and cruel that time when they made Dakota’s hair fall out because that’s what she’d look like with chemo.

    It could happen to anyone.

just to think that Phoebe’s world has it so easy and simple and here we have no kinds of healing light.

Or does Phoebe’s world really have it easy?.

It’s probably just another version of Phoebe and Marigold from the future or something.

    That’s happened before

I “love” the directions this year’s strips are going.

Now we know Marigold’s love is pure as well as unconditional.

I don’t believe I could ever find true and lasting love with just any common mortal being of this world.

It would have to be with Marigold or another unicorn.

I can be hard to live with and I can have moments of serious rage.

Not nearly as much as I used to but it can still happen.

Marigold said that even if Phoebe was a mindless zombie who tried to eat her brain that she would still love her.

Meaning that you’d have to go to the worst extremes for Marigold to stop loving you and even then she might still love you.

Doesn’t this just make some of you feel teary because it shows the true beauty and magic of Marigold inside and out.

Just to think that unlike the unicorns in The Last Unicorn Marigold is not so feral that she can’t even begin to grasp the concept of love.

Thank you Dana for giving us this deeply soulful and truly magical moment.

I will remember this one for a really long time.

When I first saw those glasses I instantly thought of Courage The Cowardly Dog.

    Muriel and Eustace Bagge

Unicorns would be good at laser tag but don’t give them trampolines or bounce houses because their cloven hooves would just cut right through it.
