   I’m surprised no one has mentioned Moe’s Tavern prank calls by Bart Simpson. Classic! Or even the Tube Bar prank calls to “Red” the owner of the bar.

   My dad, who was once in the electrical journeyman-ship to be a licensed electrician, somehow acquired a phone lineman’s test handset. It’s blue with a rotary dial and 2 clip leads. I think it was made by Western Electric. He still has it today, amongst other neat things; like a huge end section of copper data cable (about 3 inches diameter, weighing around 80 lbs) he kept from a job wiring up the computer data lines at the Ford plant in Dearborn, MI. This was in the mid-70’s, I think.

    Reminds me of an old Foster’s Beer commercial, where a patron throws an empty can at another patron at the end of the bar table; who then proceeds to change the TV channel, followed by the caption and announcer voice, “Remote control. Beer. Foster’s: Australian for Beer.”
