    Interesting question.

Looking at SpanishDict.com, “benedicion” only refers to a prayer to bless others, not giving thanks for the meal. But “Grace” translates to “benedicion.”

The Cambridge Spanish-English dictionary translates “grace” as the prayer before eating. It translates “bendición” as a short prayer of thanks before a meal.

According to Cambridge, “to say grace” is “Bendecir la mesa.”

I think rather than a literal translation (which would help language learners like me) they gave an equivalent translation that fits in the bubble better.

    Not in the RAE.

Google Translate calls it “Always”. So does the Cambridge dictionary.

Reminds me of the old joke “Constantinople, can you spell it?”

    Answer: “it”.

I’m going to guess poor translation. I just did a quick browse on SpanishDict and I wouldn’t have used supongo.

But I don’t know if I have more Spanish than you.

I mean two or three girls.

And the Ñ is something I have on an alternate keyboard.

The chance of being a boy or a girl is independent of the other birth.

By the logic in your post, if you met two boys the chance of a third child being a boy would be BBB – BBG – BGB – GBB 3/4. Any option with three girls is eliminated because you know there are at least two boys. Ñ

Of course he loves that job. Anyplace else he would have to work if he wants a paycheck.

I’m reading this comic to help with my Spanish studies. I can’t understand the last panel. So I went to the English version, and I STILL can’t understand it.

I guess I did pretty good with the Spanish version after all.
