   I stopped watching after season 1. The idea that a pirate buried treasure there is ridiculous. A pirate crew was generally made up of equal partners who split any plunder an then spent it at the nearest port.There definitely was a very elaborate pit built there but the idea that a treasure which would never be retrieved would be buried is inconceivable. Too isolated and complicated from an engineering point of view to be someone playing a joke. Rather than waste any more time thinking about it, best just to drink another beer.
