I’ve always found people who want to keep their bloodlines pure in whatever way …. completely ridiculous. No matter how much you try not to, you will at some point have relatives that are gay, non white, feminist, different religions, trans etc. It’s literal insanity to think otherwise. Learn to love and support people for who they are.

This was the official statement “ As of July 17, 2024, GocComics will no longer offer commenting on political cartoons. Our goal is to foster an engaged, thoughtful community. However, maintaining a respectful environment has become increasingly difficult given the divisive nature of certain topics and the tendencies of some to provoke controversy as the 2024 election approaches.

On top of this, GoComics uses an outdated commenting tool that lacks the capability to effectively moderate the comments and ensure compliance with the site’s commenting policy.

Given these circumstances, we’ve made the difficult decision to remove commenting from political cartoons. This is likely not a permanent measure—we hope to reinstate comments in 2025 with an improved commenting platform.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to uphold the integrity of the GoComics community.“

It was under the political comics until recently. It may go back there if the comments get out of hand

They seem to have classified it as non-political recently with a few other comics like Doonesbury.

This quote that Trump “might be America’s Hitler” came from Republican and now vice presidential candidate JD Vance, not from “dems”. How is that from the left?

This quote that Trump “might be America’s Hitler” came from Republican and now vice presidential candidate JD Vance, not from “dems”. Thus the cartoon.

Vance is 39 and was elected to the Senate in 2022 with the help of $10 million from right-wing billionaire Peter Thiel. In the short time he has been in office, he has echoed Trump’s Big Lie that the 2020 presidential race was stolen, has said that he does not believe in rape or incest exceptions for abortion bans and that people should stay in violent marriages, and has praised Project 2025. He is pro-Russia and against the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

It “will be interesting to see how the RNC attempts to spin Vance as a candidate of Unity,” journalist Anne Applebaum wrote. The Fox News Channel helpfully reminded viewers that Vance has, in the past, said that Trump “might be America’s Hitler,” “might be a cynical a**hole,” and is “cultural heroin,” “noxious,” and “reprehensible.”
