   It’s a false to fact pretense, ignoring facts and data readily available in favor of shouting “Mea Culpa”.

   The Shia rebels in Yemen have “a history” of rising up against the Sunni government. That’s a quote from the council of foreign relations.

   Yeah. Take that back about 1200 years and you might find a start for the violence, but I really doubt that would be the actual start, just the start of the current labels.

   In the 10th century, the establishment of the Zaydi imamate, essentially a theocracy, in the far north of Yemen forged a deep, lasting link between the towns and tribes of the northern highlands and the Zaydi Shiite sect of Islam. By contrast, the two-century-long rule of the Rasulids, beginning in the 1200s and initially based in Aden, identified the coastal regions and the southern uplands with Shafi’i Islam. The Rasulids, one of the major dynasties in the history of Yemen, broke from the Egyptian Ayyubid dynasty to rule independently.

   Isn’t that the cutest phrase, “broke from”? Nobody ever “broke from” peacefully, ever. And nobody ever formed a competing group that didn’t have violence ongoing between the competitors.

   You can certainly argue that the US should/should not be supporting one side or another, global geopolitics is a complex matter that certainly allows for disagreement. But saying it’d all be peaceful if the USA just wasn’t there is simply not true.

   You do (of course) notice they offer nothing but rants about how DT could do it better? No policy, no tool, no nothing.

   When all the “stick” short of war has been used, then it’s either a carrot or war. And the RWNJ’s don’t even want to admit the “carrot” is a carrot that Iran grew itself and the West (NOT the US) is holding.

   OK, enlighten me as to this “magic influence” we’re supposed to have over Iran after we cut off all trade? They are as isolated as North Korea.

   Short of war, just what do you have? You can’t cut them off twice. And you can’t stop China from buying their oil, China doesn’t give a fat rats rear what the USA thinks.

   What’s this magic all these Presidents are refusing to use? Some lie Hannity keeps telling you? Is Hannity really that much smarter than the Joint Chiefs combined with the entire State Department? I seriously doubt that.

   Or are you just falling back on the old lies again?
