Seriously, I’ve been going to farmer’s markets since I was a child (when one was nearby). They have ALWAYS been cheaper than grocery stores, especially for the basics. Exotic fruits and veggies may be expensive, but I rarely buy them, and they generally aren’t in the local groceries.
I sincerely miss the local farmer’s market that closed down about 8 years ago. It was a blow to my finances, my taste buds, and my diet.
