My friends and I grew closer through playing AD&D, even as many of them started families and built successful lives. One friend, in particular, is very successful, has a wonderful family, is strong in his Christian faith, and is very charitable. The friend who introduced Dungeons & Dragons to us (the Dungeon Master) had an unfortunate accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down. However, that didn’t stop him from getting married, starting a family, and becoming a strong advocate for people with disabilities. I don’t understand why some people continue to criticize D&D, as it’s only a few individuals who give it a bad reputation, but I suppose it makes them feel better about themselves.
I’m with Andy as some people have no sense of humor.
