Have you ever been in the south for the summer?

My mother in law got her crust recipe from either the Rocky Mountain News, or the Denver Post, but 2 3/4 cup Flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 C Lard, 1/4 butter, 1/3 C milk. I was out of milk so I put in some buttermilk and a bit of cream. Was awfully good!

There was a woman at the farmer’s market where I sold Quiches. She once gave me a cherry pie. It was worth exactly what I paid for it. I gave it to the chickens.

But the glove keeps the hand clean and is what gets dirty…

I am doing pretty well, and so are my neighbors. I can pay for my food and heat and I own my house. Tonight I have a gal coming over for a couple of hens, she needs the eggs and has a lonely rooster. I may just give them to her (they are new-laying pullets so pretty valuable). My tenant helps the neighbor to the south with yard labor. He came over last spring to give a hand with putting a prolapsed uterus back into a sheep (though he warned that he might be squeamish) The two of us who (pretty much) knew what we were doing, were not physically able to pick her up and park her on a bale of shavings but he and the dairy farmer down the road were and said farmer brought some sugar to help shrink the uterus, and I put it back in and gave her the oxytocin to keep her from pushing it back out, and neighbor did not faint. So we get along and take care of each other even though we vote different ways. I have enough eggs to take some to the food shelf. I don’t make a lot of money, but I feed people and make sure the kids at the school have sets for their plays, and carpentry skills that they might be able to use to take care of their families eventually. How are YOUR neighbors doing in your oh-so-rich red state? Two years of floods have had us working to repair and take care of farmers who have been damaged but we are pulling it out.

No. He is her Papi and a hard working man who is currently picking the crops you want to eat ( but won’t soil YOUR lazy paws to pick) or fixing your roof (YOU gonna get up there and do it? Fine. live with the leaks)

Temoc, The vast majority of immigrants, Documented or not, are very hard workers and “good people” Trump and his Team (one of the laziest group of people ever in the White House) plan to deport any FAMILY that includes an undocumented person. That includes their American spouses and children.
