On one hand, this story was running at the worst time possible. On the other hand, teachers in Edmonton were using it to teach young children about the dangers of playing in the local creeks—so dangerous in springtime.
If Elizabeth had been paying attention to her little sister this could have been avoided.
SIL can also mean sister-in-law as well as son-in-law.
So don’t read the comments for the next couple of weeks and you won’t have to worry about it.
