And when was the last time you saw such a cinematic treatment in a comic strip as we got in “Purse and Trash?” This is what makes Foxo’s work not just gifted but brilliant.
Reardon’s art is always amazing. With many current cartoonists you cannot tell one character from another without practice. Everyone in Bozo, from the boyo himself to people who only appear once, is individual and clearly understandable. It is not so much that Reardon doesn’t need words to express his point; words would detract from the point. Every drawing contains a universe. And I really enjoy that universe!
