BTW – I Googled “suicides after abortion” and the first six listings were from “Pro-Life” sites. The Wikipedia article (which includes footnotes to research by reputable people) that appears under that listing says, “There is no scientific evidence of a causal relationship between abortion and poor mental health.56 Pre-existing factors in a woman’s life, such as emotional attachment to the pregnancy, lack of social support, pre-existing psychiatric illness, and conservative views on abortion increase the likelihood of experiencing negative feelings after an abortion.789”
Your statements about “liberals” are ridiculous. You are pretending that people with liberal viewpoints are “other” without the capacity for critical thought you possess. That kind of thinking has brought us to this point, politically and socially. I agree that abortion as birth control is reprehensible however I cannot know another person’s circumstances. Making a blanket judgement is facile and equally reprehensible.There are few people so callous and/or stupid that they would fail to realize the consequence of an abortion (and those few would not be swayed by viewing an ultrasound.) It is not “cute and clever” to say that the government has no part in determining an individual’s control over their own body. Abortion is a moral and ethical choice and should be discussed in those terms.
