At 75 yo, I go to bed every night with things undone. Up at 2:30 AM on Tues, Thurs and Sat in order to get my mtn climb in before the AZ heat kicks in. On Mon, Wed and Fri, I get to sleep until 5 AM. Stock mkt opens at 6:30 and I’m monitoring that until 1 PM. Then it’s time for catching up on email. Reading and studying time suffers. On Sun, I really get to sleep in – all the way to 7 AM. Then it’s time to shower and get to church by 9 AM. I could use a 36-hour day.
Have never cared much for the normal pumpkin pie. One slice a year was plenty for me. Then I discovered Turtle Pumpkin Pie and make it nearly every year. kraftheinz dot com/jell-o/recipes/558572-turtle-pumpkin-pie
Pumpkin Cake is also outstanding: recipetineats dot com/pumpkin-cake/ (made it 3 times last year)
It was 114° in the afternoon of the 11th but only in the low-to-mid 90s in the early morning when I did my double climb up Camelback to mark my 75th birthday!
Looks like we’re pretty much on the same page. We need to do lunch (as long as you don’t insist on doing it al fresco).
My father told about an incident (poss a hundred years ago) that when his father was in a cafe and asked for cream in his coffee, the waitress accommodated him on the spot.
