On a summer trip to Chesapeake Bay, my cousin and I spent a day in the water smashing jellyfish to bits with stick. Only later did we realize that the smashed bits splashing up out of the water and on to our skin were still capable of stinging. The resulting agony didn’t occur until we were out of the water. Ouch!
