Harsh! We don’t need more polarization. some of my best friends tend to vote Republican and I rarely do, but these friends are not longing for 1952 and Jim Crow. There are some rather visible folks on both sides that have gone overboard and provide the basis for painting everyone who is not like me to be wrong.
Let’s focus on a key component of the problem. Both sides have abandoned any sense of reason and have adopted the “It’s my way or the wrong way” logic. In government this means I must stop you and you must stop me; I’m not sure this is a process that will yield a productive response for the country we both love.
