I just got back from New York City. People don’t frown at each other; they just don’t look each other in the eye at all. My daughter says it is because they are all afraid the other person will beg them for money. Also, wherever I stand on the sidewalk, people come right at me as if I wasn’t even there at all. They are so involved with their own selves that they just don’t see anyone else.
