It’s good that this man cannot shut up. The bad thoughts others had, he openly tells everybody, out of a combination of simple-mindedness and the sense of invulnerability. It’s bad that many people still like him. But this way, it all comes out and it’s much more obvious and visible what people really believe in. Before Trump, one could still believe that many Republicans, although acting agressively and merciless, would still believe themselves in the principles and values they cited to criticize the Democrats, the liberals and the lefties, the hippies and the gays. One could still think, they would be lying for God’s sake, which was inacceptable and bad and certainly not what Jesus would do, but they couldn’t help it and did it only to protect their sacred values. Thanks to Trump, this illusion is now gone forever. Trump has not only trampled on human rights and leftist values, he has treated with contempt everything what was allegedly held in high regard by Republicans, be it family values or veterans. Now we know that almost all Republicans are either moral naughts who believe only in money, power and white supremacy or sheepish opportunists who will accept everything to keep their current position. They do not believe in anything what Jesus told his friends. “Love God! Love all people!” But they don’t even try. They look the Bible up for some sentences they could misuse in political warfare. And they were always only misusing Jesus for their own, vile ends. They don’t and didn’t believe in Jesus at all. If Jesus ever existed, he miserably failed with his project. Reps talking about Christian values and Fundamentalists talking about Jesus all the time are the most un-Christian, the most anti-Jesus-like, most corrupt, hateful, egoist, dishonest, money-grabbing, unloving and mercilesse people in the USA. And I would really like it wasn’t like that.
