Ted is right on one thing: we need green initiatives because if global warming/climate change has not hit the point of no return, it will happen very soon. If the establishment tools in the DNC had any brains whatsoever, a Green New Deal would be prominent on their platform. I will not even mention the greed and how obtuse the repubbas are on this but Christ, you would think democrats could grasp the seriousness of this issue. Bernie gets it, so does Liz Warren and the Squad but few others in congress do as they apparently have other agendas which involve lobbyists, coin and 1%ers. The Green Party, DSA, and other assorted progressives have been preaching this for years but we are basically ignored except at election time when it is mentioned by many in the party of blue to bring in the votes and then environmental issues are put on the back burner again for 2 or 4 years, depending on the election cycle. Ted makes a point in that gun violence, inflation, $6/gallon gasoline and supply chain issues all are serious as is our loss of civil liberties via the |Supreme Court and far right legislation but if we do not get ahead of this impending environmental apocalypse which is coming fast and furious; society as we know it is going to be history like the Roman Empire, turn the page. BTW, nice reference to Gilligan’s Island in panel 3 Ted with the SS Minnow.
