Frazz by Jef Mallett for September 09, 2007
Transcript:
Caulfield: Third day of school and Mrs. Olsen falls asleep. Do you think we'd have better teachers if we paid them more money? Frazz: I'd certainly love to see it tried. Although... Caulfield: Although what? Frazz: Here's a paper. Find me a big corporation that bumbled itself into bankruptcy. Caulfield: Way to challenge me, Frazz. Frazz: How much did that corporation's executives get paid? Caulfield: So money doesn't do any good? Frazz: I wouldn't say that. It kept those guys out of teaching.
There’s a difference, of course, between lavishing money on incompetents and paying essential workers (like teachers) a living wage.
Although it’s already been established that Mrs. Olsen is a good teacher, but deliberately presents as someone who isn’t.
