The 30 percent increase is just the opening gambit in the insurance companies quest for their annual increase. In the mean time millions have insurance who did not have it before and medical cost inflation has slowed quite a bit. Other countries with single pay systems don’t have the problem and provide first class medical care. Maybe we will wise up one of these days. Just think if Medicare could do competitive bidding for prescriptions, prices would be a lot, lot cheaper.
