Yes, indeed, everything that is wrong with the United States and the reason that it is losing its economic advantage over the rest of the world is the shoddy quality of the products produced by its unionised labour. That is why the quality of products from such countries as Japan and Germany (I believed you mentioned Japan in your posting above), where trade union membership is about twice as high as in the United States, is even shoddier, not to mention those from Sweden and Finland, where over 70 % of the labour market is organised.
