The U.S. Supreme Court may soon grant the same constitutional rights we enjoy as individuals to corporations, or "corporate persons." but those "persons" should be careful what they wish for... If an abstract legal entity becomes a person. It can be tortured. (Voice: Ow! I'm so calling the president!) (Barack Obama: You're a person. He won't care!) It can sit on a gurney for 2 hours while executioners poke for a vein. (Voice: How many times you gonna do that?) (Woman: How many fees you dinging your customers?)
Hey, Ted,
I got there a bit before you. A couple of weeks ago on my Web site, Les Pages aux Folles, I published an article called “Explosive Testimony At GM Love Child Trial [ARNS].” It’s about a woman suing General Motors for child support, arguing that since corporations are people, they can father children.
I don’t get to scoop the professionals that often, so I hope you don’t mind my mentioning it. :-)
