Ted, I agree with virtually all your observations. Yet, the parallels you draw regularly conflate and then trivialize the comparisons by making them equivalent. This is clever, and sometimes true. However, by making these comparisons out of context, you make the perfect be the enemy of the merely “better.” Not the enemy of the “good” but simply the “better.” This emboldens the regressives and trivializes the issues. Both W and Obama used drones regularly, for example. But W was so much more thoughtlessly destructive when you consider the whole picture. Can you see that? Or are you so cynical that they seem equally culpable to you? Just asking.
