Today’s fire update: the required paperwork identifying what plastics were stored in the warehouse was stored in the warehouse and is gone in the fire. No one know what the hundred-some volunteer firemen have been exposed to. The fire rages on. A company from Pennsylvania has been hired to assist. They trucked in excavators to dig out collapsed buildings to help firemen put hoses on the fire, foam for persistent chemical fires, and bulldozers to push rubble aside. They are pumping millions of gallons of water from the nearby rivers to the firemen. The firefighters are volunteer firemen who are working their regular jobs and then coming to work the fire, some driving hours from distant fire departments. The Red Cross is providing food and water but their main resources are down south in the hurricane Harvey and Irma areas. Schools will be closed until Monday (at least).
